GOAN EXPERIENCE

 

 

Day 01                 Arrive Bombay – Goa

Arrive Bombay by International flight and traditional welcome will be given on arrival at the airport.

Breakfast at the hotel (near airport). Later transfer to the domestic airport in time for flight to Goa. On arrival in Goa, transfer to the hotel. Traditional Goan welcome will be given on arrival at the hotel. Lunch at the hotel.

In the evening enjoy the Goan Carnival theme welcome dinner.

Enjoy the Goan Carnival Theme Welcome Dinner at the Riverside Restaurant, where the entire ambience of the Carnival will be created. Join a traditional carnival procession led by King Momo, which is a part of Goa's rich Portuguese heritage, where revelry, song and dance, great food and good wine come beautifully together. Discover the joys of Goan cuisine at a delightful buffet dinner. The Dinner will be accompanied by local folk entertainment.

Day 02                 Goa

Breakfast at the hotel and later proceed for city tour of Goa.

City tour visiting the magnificent church of the Basilica of Bom Jesus - built in the 16th century with the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, a great saint. His remains are preserved intact in a silver casket and there is an exposition of his body once in 12 years. This church is dedicated to Infant Jesus. The St. Cathedral has superb architecture with intricately carved altars fitted with gold.

Lunch at the hotel.

Afternoon free time for independent activities and to relax on the beach.

Evening Seafood Barbecue on the beach this could be set up on a Pirate's Theme with a suitable ambience created on the beach. Waiters would be dressed in costumes and the entertainment would also be in conformity to a pirate's evening. Along a stretch of the beach, a barbecue is setup. Dine under a starlit sky on succulent lobsters, jumbo prawns and other local seafood delicacies. Guests may cook their own food on skewers over a campfire. A local musician captures the magic of the moment with a singing and guitar. We could also have Western music band for entertainment and dancing.

Day 03                 Goa

Breakfast at the hotel.

Full day at leisure and enjoy at the beach

Or you have a option of doing a cruise on the Sal River sailing upstream for a day of fishing. This cruise will be by local boats, which will offer plenty of opportunity for taking in the sun and for fishing. Freshly caught fish will be prepared on board along with barbecued King Prawns, A Goan folk band will entertain with traditional as well as Western Music.

Evening a special Hippie Style Fishing Village Theme dinner - A get-together for a " 4B Evening " [Boisterous Barefoot Beach Bar-be-Que] on the moonlit beach, set against the backdrop of a typical Kunbi fishing village. Boats, nets and traditionally costumed waiters will add to the ambience. An elaborate Sea-Food Buffet will be served " under the stars “. Strolling musicians will entertain the guests to a romantic experience. Guest will be asked to dress in the style of the Hippies of the 60's and prized will be awarded to the most creative. [The mood and ambience will perhaps not require any assistance from the "Chillum”!]. Western music entertainment will add to the gaiety. The evening will be come to an end with a spectacular Fireworks display showing

Day 04                 Goa

Breakfast at the hotel.

Full day enjoy at the beach.

Or you have a option of visiting  an old Portuguese Mansion built at the time when Goa was part of Portugal. The Mansion, made of wood with Portuguese colonial architecture is an imposing building offering a vide variety of artifacts. The host, a traditional gentleman, will regale the guest with stories of the days when Goa was a Portuguese dominion. High tea will be served at the mansion.

Lunch at the hotel.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

 

Day 05                 Goa

Breakfast at the hotel.

Full day enjoy at the beach.

Or you have a option having a safari competition.  Participate in this competition where guests would drive in Ambassador Cars [very traditional Indian, and quite safe] and participate in an interactive day of fun and games. This would involve travelling through the Goan countryside through Panaji, across the Mandovi by ferry and then through part of North Goa, where the guests will travel with their personal chauffer. Each participant will given a series of clues, which will guide him through his route (each completed leg will automatically guide his next leg) till the completion of the entire circuit. Mid way through this safari lunch will be organized in an interesting venue - perhaps a beach in North Goa.

Day 06                 Goa – Bombay

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning transfer to the airport in time for flight to Bombay. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Lunch at the hotel.

In the afternoon sightseeing tour of Bombay.

Bombay - The name Mumbai is said to have its name derived from the local deity Mumba Devi. It is India’s financial and industrial capital and is popularly known as Bollywood being second only to Hollywood in number of films produced. The sights include the Gateway of India, triumphal arch built in 1911 to commemorate the arrival of King George and Queen Mary; Prince of Wales museum built in Indo - Saracenic style; Hanging Gardens and Kamla Nehru Park, which offer a panoramic view of Marine Drive and are situated on the slopes of Malabar Hill. Drive on the Marina Beach, through the Crawford Market and Flora Fountain areas.

In the evening pool side  farewell dinner.

Day 07                 Leave Bombay

Transfer to the International airport in time for flight to onward destination.
